Learning Pool and LINGOs Announce New Partnership, Courses for NGOs

LINGOs – the world’s largest network of NGOs dedicated to learning and technology – will bring its highly successful PMD Pro Project Management courses to new audiences in a scalable and social format through a new partnership with Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) – the R&D Company for L&D.

The PMD Pro project management course will expand LINGOs’ ability to partner with social sector organisations to enhance their project effectiveness. The course strengthens LINGOs’ commitment to overcoming barriers to access and affordability, enabling organisations to scale the reach to all of their staff and an entire development ecosystem with an on-demand yet facilitated experience that also further reduces barriers to affordability.

Delivered via Learning Pool’s (formerly HT2 Labs) award-winning social learning platform the course comprises a mix of LINGOs existing learning materials and content curated from the wider internet that’s simple to administrate, and engaging for learners.

Utilising the Learning Pool Platform’s translation capabilities and a curation approach to learning content enables delivery of English, French, and Spanish versions of the course, which run on a monthly basis. The social learning and gamification principles that the tool is built upon also ensures that the course is accessible and engaging to learners no matter what language they speak.

Chris Proulx, President & CEO, LINGOs, explains the reasoning behind the partnership as:

“…enabling [LINGOs] to bring advanced thinking around social learning to the LINGOs community in order to explore and test new approaches to overcoming significant access barriers in learning among development and humanitarian organizations. We see this course as the first of many collaborative projects with Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs).

Alan Betts, Learning Pool’s Principle Consultant, continued:

We’ve been working with charities and other non-profit organisations [in addition to our corporate clients] for some time now, and we’re delighted to be partnership with LINGOs on this fantastic project. We’re also sponsoring the LINGOs Global Learning Forum, later in the year to further lend our support, and are looking forward to exploring our partnership together.

In addition to the new PMD Pro course, LINGOs and Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) will also be running a series of co-branded OLXs (massive open online courses)  starting in June 2016 – discussing a range of approaches to social learning and learning technologies and how they can be utilised by LINGOs members.  Further details will be announced shortly.
