Boosting food safety training with Adapt

Each month we showcase a module from our catalogue to help you get the most out of new and popular modules in our training library. This month we wanted to revisit our Food Safety Modules Levels 1 & 2 as they have been rebuilt in Adapt.

Food Safety training is a public health priority, both employer and employee have a legal responsibility in preparing, serving and keeping a record of food that is produced by their organisation. We have created modules for Food Safety Level 1 & 2 for Social Care, Hospitality and Government.

Equip your staff with the right knowledge

Each of these modules covers the same content but each one has a different theme suited to the sector it has been created for.

Food Safety Level 1 is split into 4 sections or ‘blocks’ to use the Adapt term:

  • Introduction to food safety
  • Personal hygiene
  • Cleaning
  • Contamination

Food Safety Level 2 is split into 7 blocks and follows on directly from level 1:

  • Introduction to food safety
  • Food Safety, the Law and your responsibilities
  • Food safety hazards
  • Principles of safe food storage
  • The right temperature
  • Cleaning
  • Food premises and equipment

Each block begins with a topic overview and ends with a topic summary. They are made up of various questions with dropdown and multiple choice answers. There are also hot graphics where clicking on an image will reveal some information and case studies that the user must-read. Subsequently, they answer the questions that follow.

These modules can be used as a reference aid as well as a learning tool, so the user can revisit any time to refresh their memory, with the option of viewing them on a mobile device for convenience.

Our customers can access Food Safety Levels 1 & 2 in their Adapt tenant. If you are not a customer you can access our hospitality content free for 7 days or contact us on 0207 101 9383
