Users will know the static programs page has always been limited to using a single layout – however, tweaks from our teams have enhanced these pages by adding the option of using multiple templates for programs right across your LMS.
Nebula now gives you a choice of four templates – the original template plus three shiny new options to apply to your program overview.
Each of these templates features the default summary section, as well as completion criteria and progress bars. These progress bars indicate progress through the entire program – as well as for each of a program’s constituent courses.
If you yearn for the button block, you can use square blocks in the first new template to represent each of the courses in a program, echoing how the buttons block works elsewhere in your LMS.
The second template builds on the first by enabling the display of a round button to represent courses within a program.
For reasons they can never quite explain, every designer and LMS administrator has a favourite template – their go-to option for making something look satisfyingly good. Here’s mine – the third new template using smaller buttons which users can click to access courses within a program.
Nebula means designers can use any of the available LMS icons to represent a course – or for times when something more specific is needed to represent a course, custom images can be uploaded to highlight what a course contains.
You can use distinctive imagery – colours, shapes, characters, or anything else which helps your learners to find their way across your program – so the right people end up in the right course.
Effectively training staff is always a challenge – technical, legislative and practical updates to specialist fields mean that it’s hard for learners to keep up.
The learning paths within programs – with their competencies and courses ordered well and flowing from one to the next – support learning, but often the components within your learning toolbox weren’t built with visual appeal in mind.
All of the moving parts – from a program, through a course, to a resource – have often made an LMS feel disjointed.
With the new design options offered by Nebula, you have far more control over how your LMS looks and feels for your learners. Visually appealing layouts improve learners’ experiences as users of your LMS – before, during and after their time spent completing courses.
Good visual design options mean your learners spend more time learning and less time thinking about how to reach a course. Plus, you get the satisfaction – and professional pride – of knowing that your LMS has never looked better.
If your LMS theme feels like it’s carved from immovable grey granite, when what your learners long for is a living, breathing space to grow in, then get in touch to find out more.
