About the role

Part of the Learning Experience Team, Learning Pool’s Design team is responsible for all design output across key areas of the business. As a Graphic Designer at the start of your  Commercial career, you will be working within a creative, supportive design team in a busy production environment delivering beautiful design across bespoke e-learning content, our range of catalogues and marketing projects.

The perfect candidate will have a solid foundation of design skills as well as a natural flair all of their own. You will appreciate the benefits of giving and receiving feedback and have the ability to efficiently incorporate this into your workflow. Highly communicative with colleagues and clients, you will have clear personal development goals.

What you'll be doing

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Creating custom designs for e-learning content for both Learning Pool and customer projects
  • Managing your time and assigned workload to meet deadlines on time
  • Developing a deep understanding of in-house and 3rd party authoring and theming tools to produce visually engaging learning content. If you bring your willingness to learn, training will be provided
  • Developing a deep understanding of Learning Pool’s brand to comfortably express it across a range of marketing media
Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong foundation of design skills and a passion for Creative Arts
  • The ability to think creatively and apply that across multiple design disciplines, print, UX and content
  • Adeptness at communicating your design and thought processes behind your work
  • A strong communicator who is equally comfortable working side by side and remotely with colleagues and customers
  • A keenness to take ownership of their work and ensure that it meets the standards set by the project lead
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • The desire to embrace new challenges that broaden the range of skills and techniques at their disposal
  • Capability to deliver in situations where they are working alone, in smaller project groups or as part of a wider team
  • A flexible approach with the ability to adapt plans and workload to meet the needs of the company
  • A graduate-level qualification in an Art and Design discipline
  • In-Depth knowledge of design software, Adobe Creative Suite
  • A portfolio showcasing the individual’s art and design talents


It is not essential but it would be a plus if candidates had:

  • Industry experience (including work placements)
  • Experience with motion graphics a plus
  • Experience with HTML/CSS a plus
  • Experience with Articulate 365 authoring suite
