This is an exciting opportunity for someone to start their e-learning career joining the Learning Pool team in either Nottingham or Derry, reporting to the Learning Design Manager.

Working in a lively and busy content production team, you will be writing and developing online learning for a diverse range of clients. You will be involved from kick off through to delivery on both bespoke and catalogue projects with the space to be creative and apply new ideas and technologies in the field of learning.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Work with a wide variety of subject matter and adapt it to be appropriate to the target
  • Rewrite this content into learning solutions
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts and research topics independently
  • Attend meetings with clients and present ideas
  • Create and maintain project documentation
  • Brief other team members where required
  • Provide regular updates to project managers
  • Take ownership for meeting project deadlines
  • Take ownership for the quality of the finished product
  • Build elearning using development tools where required
Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Degree with a 2:1 or higher, preferably in English, Psychology or Creative Writing
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills to enable effective consultation with Stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts
  • The ability to engage with complex, technical and unfamiliar subject matter
  • An interest in how people learn
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, working to tight deadlines
  • A positive, professional and open-minded attitude towards colleagues, clients and ways of working
  • An active interest in technology and media trends
  • A willingness to travel including occasional overnight stays
