The Role

The Service Delivery Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of solution implementations relating to the provision of cloud-based learning services.  You will have responsibility for the delivery of allocated projects, leading project kick-off, project planning, resourcing and customer communication.

This is a demanding but rewarding customer-facing role that involves setting the standard for the customer experience at the start of their journey with us.

Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills are essential for this position. The role involves some travel to customer sites but is predominantly office-based.

What you'll be doing

The role will include:

  • Day to day managing of projects ensuring adherence to project processes and responsibility for the quality of project deliveries.
  • Managing multiple projects from initiation through to deployment and handover to support.
  • Working closely with customers/other key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of projects, change control and identification of ‘red flags’
  • Engaging appropriate stakeholders in defining and managing business requirements
  • Submitting project status reports to customers and colleagues,
  • Managing  risk and raising any concerns/customer delays that will impact on the business’ ability to meet their requirements
  • Organising, facilitating and delivering effective customer requirements workshops
  • Managing the delivery of highly customised solutions for complex business requirements, working with Development, Infrastructure, Sales, Support teams to plan and resource
  • Ensuring escalations are managed effectively and be a point of escalation in resolving customer complaints and/or queries
  • Developing strong relationships with key customer accounts

 

    Who we are looking for

    The successful candidate will have:

    • At least 2 years’ relevant experience of managing complex projects
    • Experience of project management methodologies e.g. Waterfall, Agile, PRINCE
    • The ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of colleagues and customers
    • The ability to multi-task, problem-solve and negotiate effectively
    • Enthusiasm and self-motivation, showing the ability to work independently or part of a team
    • Willingness to travel including overnight stays

    We will be looking for evidence of:

    • Ownership and commitment – display personal accountability for delivering to the objectives of the Service Delivery Team and to the business goals.
    • Judgement – is comfortable making judgements in ambiguous environments and is capable of making decisions in stressful situations
    • Communication – Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Problem Solving – ability to resolve in-depth queries in a methodical manner independently and/or with business partners to find appropriate resolutions
    • Analysis and technical writing – awareness of business analysis techniques and experience of business requirement documentation and technical writing would be advantageous but is not essential
