As a senior member of the Learning Pool sales team, this role presents significant potential for career development and for the right candidate to help the company deliver its ambitious growth targets over the next 3 to 5 years.

With this role you will be responsible for winning, growing and developing key accounts and we’re looking for someone who will own the relationship with our clients, selling a compelling story and providing first class client service in a consultative manner.

Your job starts by winning new business and our high performing marketing and business development teams will work closely with you to help you do this.

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic sales person with a strong background in learning and development, who uses their consultative skills to design solutions that deliver business impact for the client. The successful candidate will demonstrate that they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about learning technologies and skilled at communicating this with a broad range of clients. You will be highly motivated and prepared to travel weekly to meet with clients and colleagues across the UK and Ireland.

What you'll be doing

This is a key role and will take responsibility for:

  • identifying and nurturing sales leads through to contract close
  • new business generation
  • understanding and defining complex client needs to create winning solutions
  • taking specific responsibility for developing a vertical by securing higher value accounts
  • evangelising our products to clients by becoming an expert in how they are deployed, so clients are engaged and motivated to drive a demonstrable return on their investment
  • identifying new revenue streams from key accounts and strategically plan account management activities over a 12 month period and beyond
  • making full use of the CRM system ensuring this is up to date with opportunities and client information, which you are responsible for at all times.  Experience with SalesForce is a plus
  • presenting and demonstrating a diverse product and services portfolio that includes off the shelf and custom content, LMS and authoring tools
  • delivering quarterly and annual targets in line with the companies growth trajectory.
Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will have:

  • experience and extensive knowledge of how modern, successful, learning and development functions operate within large organisations
  • excellent communication and influencing skills
  • domain expertise in one or more verticals with an established network
  • the ability to build effective working relationships with a broad spectrum of colleagues and clients
  • knowledge and experience of working with and using learning technologies (LMS, talent management systems), elearning and mobile learning
  • the confidence, knowledge and skill to facilitate broad-ranging conversations with clients/senior managers around the role and benefit of learning technologies to support their organisational goals
  • commercial awareness, numerate and analytical skills
  • a tenacious and target driven attitude
  • the ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • the ability to multi-task, plan effectively and to provide clients with detailed forward plans/follow up documentation
  • willingness to travel including regular overnight stays
  • enthusiasm and a self-motivated personality.
