About the role

The Learning Consultant team plays a crucial role in enabling us to deliver a first-class service to our clients. As a Learning Consultant you will help to align business goals and learning strategy, becoming a trusted partner who adds real value to our customers’ business. This will include providing best practice recommendations and assisting customers in solving point-in-time challenges.

You will also be responsible for growing revenue through upsell and expansion activities as well as securing annual renewals.

What you'll be doing

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • managing a number of (typically around 40) Enterprise customers through regular contact, whether that is face-to-face, telephone/webinar or email
  • building relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to understand the customer’s learning and development landscape, projects and strategic plans
  • being responsible for securing timely subscription contract renewals
  • identifying and winning opportunities that bring new value to customers and meet your allocated upsell quota (c. £250k each year)
  • providing induction, support and advice for customers on implementing and achieving success with their Learning Pool services
  • upskilling customers to successfully use our products, including Totara LMS; Support and coach customers with the development/repurposing of e-learning content using Adapt Builder
  • making full use of the company’s CRM platform to ensure this is up-to-date with opportunities and customer information at all times
  • maximising the opportunity to deliver high-quality case studies across allocated accounts
  • working as part of a team of Learning Consultants staying up to speed with, and sharing knowledge of, developments in technology and the markets we operate in
Who we are looking for

The successful candidate will:

  • deliver an exceptional customer experience and ensure our customers can demonstrate the value of working with Learning Pool
  • be commercially driven and focused on delivering timely renewals as well as identifying and closing upsell opportunities
  • have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels
  • demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with learning technology specifically Totara LMS and Adapt Builder
  • have the confidence, knowledge and skill to facilitate broad-ranging conversations with customers/senior managers around the role and the benefits of learning technologies to support their organisational goals
  • hold strong presentation skills – be able to present complex information concisely and clearly to audiences ranging from senior management teams, learning and development professionals and end users
  • have exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail will be essential to ensuring you keep tasks on track and take ownership for ensuring Learning Pool commitments are met
  • be able to work with the wider Learning Pool team to ensure customers receive the full benefit of working with an innovative and customer-focused partner.
