Arkadin, part of the NTT Communications Group, is the world’s fastest-growing company in Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) services, with more than 50 offices in over 30 countries.

Arkadin delivers collaborative audio, web, and video conferencing solutions that have become essential to success in our digitally connected global workplace.

As a constantly evolving service company, Arkadin has always heavily invested in employee training programmes.

The learning management system was identified as a key element to keeping pace with this rapid evolution while making these programs easily accessible to a vast range of users across the globe.

Although Arkadin previously had a Moodle-based LMS, it was limited in scope. It was also incompatible with learning requirements as well as the company’s HR management system – a more intuitive LMS, with a ‘single sign-on’ experience for its users, was needed.  An enhanced mobile experience was also seen as a key requirement, as was the provision of visual feedback for users to track their progress more easily.

The Solution

After an extensive review of the LMS market, Totara Learn was identified as the best LMS solution to meet the company’s requirements and Learning Pool was chosen as the ideal partner to help them implement the platform. 

Launched in June 2016, the new Arkadin Learning Hub now meets the needs of Arkadin’s growing workforce, as well as the company’s vision of total digital transformation. It currently benefits over 1,200 users worldwide, offering nearly 300 courses. The new LMS facilitates a variety of learning resources including in-house live and recorded webinars, assessments, glossaries, workshops, as well as automated induction and onboarding programmes.

One of the most impressive features of the new Arkadin Learning Hub is that it really simplifies access for its users, with its integrated single sign-on experience. The platform is fully integrated with the company’s HR system, allowing for daily user data updates and user profiles to be mapped with detailed, company-specific fields.

Other advances include the automatic creation of individual user dashboards and learning paths – resulting in a truly individualised learning experience for every user.  Learning path reports allow users to see their progress, achievement, and statistics via a gamified coloured ‘belt’ ranking system.

The Outcome
