Following a kick-off meeting to establish the goals and requirements for the project, our instructional designer took this brief and some SHS base content in the form of a PowerPoint presentation that had previously been used for face-to-face training. We then created an engaging, interactive piece of e-learning using the Learning Pool Development Methodology throughout the process. Content outline, storyboard, alpha, beta and GOLD stages were carried out before eventual sign off.
To build the module, we used Adapt Learning, our responsive HTML5 framework that allows you to create engaging and flexible content that can be accessed by learners across multiple devices.
Within the module, the content is broken down into two pages and then further segmented into chunks by way of Adapt Builder’s article, block and component building blocks. This is standard for all Adapt modules and allows for a bite-sized, digestible learning process.
The module still maintains a natural flow throughout due to the use of deep-scrolling pages. This is consistent with modern web design and offers a much more engaging experience than the old method of constantly clicking on a ‘Next’ button.
