Basic life support refers to the level of medical care used for those who may have a life-threatening illness or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. This module looks at basic life support for adults as well as the symptoms of a heart attack and cardiac arrest. It also looks at administering CPR, putting someone in the recovery position, dealing with a choking individual and policies around resuscitation. This e-learning module meets the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines 2015.
