An average of two babies with Down’s syndrome are born in the UK each day, accounting for around one in every 750 births. There are around 40,000 people in the country living with the condition. The purpose of this module is to provide a basic awareness and understanding of Down’s syndrome. We’ll look at the strengths of people with Down’s syndrome and the challenges that they face, as well as exposing some common myths.
