Multi-agency Forums elearning module

In this module, we explore the roles of the various organizations that make up Multi-Agency Forums within the child protection process. All local authorities must have a Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) in place. This is in accordance with the requirements of the Children Act 2004 and involves all the agencies concerned working together to safeguard children in their local authority. We look at the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO), Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).
On completion, learners will understand the duties carried out but the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and the role and responsibilities of the designated officer.
