This module explores the factors that contribute to causing a stroke, the different types of strokes, the strategies which can help prevent them from occurring, and how best to support a patient’s recovery.

On completion, learners will understand the reasons why a stroke can occur, what the different signs of a stroke are and why the speed of action is important. They will also discover the longer-term impacts of a stroke.
