Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) to Discuss Gold Win at eLN’s Learning Technologies Awards Winners Showcase
February 28, 2018
Oxford, UK: Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) CEO Ben Betts is to present at the eLN’s annual Learning Technologies Awards Showcase in London; discussing Learning Locker’s status as a Gold Award Winner for ‘Most Innovative New Learning Technologies Product’ at the 2017 Learning Technology Awards.
On 24th March 2018 the Elearning Network (eLN) will play host to their annual celebration of Learning Technology Awards Gold Winners, with 7 speakers each sharing the methods and processes behind their success. Traditionally, speakers cover the challenges that they faced when constructing and delivering their elearning platforms, initiatives or case studies and how they overcame them to achieve industry recognition.
Learning Locker, the Learning Record Store from Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) – offered as both free Open Source and fully featured Enterprise SaaS options – was recognised with a Gold Award at last year’s Learning Technologies Awards event. Along with describing the software as a ‘stroke of brilliance’ and commending Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs)’ ‘pursuit of the real potential of an LRS’, the judges also commented:
“Learning Locker is a truly impressive, transformational product well on its way to moving the digital learning sector forward globally… there are some very clever people at Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs).”
Learning Locker has maintained a consistent presence as the backbone of many client projects delivered by Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) since its inception back in 2014; using xAPI to connect systems together and providing customisable dashboards to prove the impact of learning.
More recently, the LRS was used as the foundation of Villeroy & Boch’s Brand Ambassador Programme, receiving and tracking data from a blended learning experience (Learning Pool Platform) was also used) to measure Customer Conversation and ATV (Average Transaction Value) against data in previous years. The insight from Learning Locker’s analytics ultimately lead to a €2.5m return on the training investment.
When reflecting on Learning Locker’s status as a Gold Award winner and subsequent invitation to speak at eLN’s 2018 showcase, CEO Ben Betts had this to say:
I usually love getting the opportunity to showcase the wonderful projects that our clients have created over the last 12 months as part of the awards season. But this event will be particularly interesting as, for once, I get to talk about Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) and a product that we’ve made entirely here – our Learning Locker, Learning Record Store. We are incredibly proud of the work we’ve done to become a leading force in the emerging xAPI marketplace and Learning Locker, as an Open Source project, was a bit of gamble at the time. I look forward to talking about the decision to release our product completely free of charge and the successes our adopters around the world have had in the last few years.
Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) will be joining six other Gold Award Winners along with eLN members and industry peers on March 28th to celebrate and share their wins.
