Learning Pool’s guide to making the most out of Learning Technologies 2019

Let us be your guide, here are our top tips to make sure that your trip to Europe’s largest learning technologies event is more than worth it.

Plan ahead…but not too much

Use your event guide to decide on five suppliers that you want to speak to, but make note of a few wild cards too.

This way you have a to-do list that you can work your way through in your own time and get stuck into those important conversations. This also gives you some time to enjoy an impromptu visit to a few stands that catch your eye on your travels.

Have an idea of what you’re looking for but be open to new possibilities. One of the great advantages of an exhibition is learning about what’s new out there, you never know what you could find. Grab a seat early for your favourite free seminars

The free seminars in the exhibition hall can get pretty packed, be sure to earmark your must-see sessions early to give yourself time to grab a seat, get your notebook out and get comfortable.

There’s nothing worse than standing at the back of a theatre after you’ve been on your feet all day. And that reminds me… wear a comfortable pair of shoes!

Learning Technologies is a great place to be inspired, so use the opportunity to discover fresh ideas that might help transform a learning culture in your organisation.

Catch a 10 minute demo of some impressive new technology at this year’s new demo zone but be ready to have your mind blown, we’ve got something exciting to share.

Take advantage of the fun freebies

We all love a freebie, and Learning Technologies is full of free stuff! From bottled water and socks to portable phone chargers, you can pretty much get anything branded these days.

Look out for the free tote bags on the day so you can fill it full of the goodies you’ve gathered.

At stand M10, as well as a few of the usual freebies, we’re giving you the chance to win a Kindle Fire. Just drop by our stand to enter, we’ll also donate £5 to Save the Children on your behalf.

Get social

The Learning Technologies social channels are a great way to get stuck into exciting debates and discussions from the event. Get involved using the hashtag #LT19UK in all your tweets and you never know, your posts might even make it up on the event’s big screen!

We also recommend you keep following the hashtag after the event, every year there is a brilliant Twitter backchannel which collates news, popular takeaways and key happenings.

Make new connections

If you’re there with colleagues, split up and focus on introducing yourself to new people, you’ll cover more ground and you’ll each have different experiences to bring back to the office.

Don’t be shy, exhibitors are there to meet you and show what they have to offer so don’t be afraid to approach them.

Start by telling them what you’re looking for this will give them a good indication of which of their products would work for you and the conversation will flow easily after that.

Visit stand M10

You’ll find our friendly team on stand M10, where we’ll be showcasing the latest in transformative learning solutions from our new Learning Experience Platform, AI, and gamification to LMS, Adapt Learning and more. So, be sure to swing by for a coffee and a chat.

Arrange to speak to one of the experts behind our products during the event, at a time that suits you.
