At Learning Pool we have a dedicated in-house content team who produce large amounts of content across a plethora of subject areas and using a variety of authoring tools and media. This is supported by a large pool of contractors all of whom have been working with us for many years and who are also very much part of the Learning Pool team. We’re a large, ever-growing business but our community ethos is at the heart of everything we do.
We’ve featured in The Sunday Times’ Best 100 Companies to work for regularly in recent years and have achieved Investors in People Gold Standard Award for the second time in 2019. You’ll be supported on every project by a dedicated project manager. You’ll report to our in-house content QA, who will give you a proper brief, including client requirements.
We have a tried and tested design methodology for delivering our content to clients and we’d also offer full training and support initially so you can get used to our ways of working.
Learning Pool has the largest catalogue of off-the-shelf Adapt content in the world and our bespoke content creation continues to expand with it. So we’re looking for a long-term relationship. We’re busy and we can keep you busy too!
We take invoices from our contractors on a monthly basis and our payment terms state that your invoice will be paid within 30 days so no need to wait until the end of a project to see the reward for your efforts.
You’ll work across the whole team to proof and test the things we release as Learning Pool. We care about our reputation for producing high quality work, so looking after the little things is essential. Your success will be measured by a low number of client-reported bugs, and your ability to communicate the issues you find clearly.
You’ll need to be able to put yourself in the shoes of our learners and test our courses from an end-user perspective.
We need someone who has excellent attention to detail, confidence in their communication, good problem solving and initiative. You should be self-sufficient and able to effectively manage your own time. You should be able to take a brief, understand the requirements and deliver on that with a minimum of fuss. Experience of learning technologies is desirable but by no means essential.
