Introducing Learning Pool’s ‘Hang Ten’
We know that the impact of the recent global pandemic and the uncertainty surrounding it are putting strain on all areas of business, including Learning & Development. Thus inspiring Learning Pool’s ‘Hang Ten’ series.
This video series consists of informal five-minute chats and will give you a great opportunity to feel connected to others in the industry and gain a rare glimpse into their day-to-day lives. Sharon Claffey Kaliouby will be hosting the series and will be joined by several learning professionals to discuss how they are in general and how they’re coping with the current climate.
For this episode, Sharon was joined by Vanessa Alzate, Anchored Training. At Anchored Training, they offer digital media development including but not limited to eLearning and videos, and development and execution of instructor-led and virtual training.
During this quick-fire Hang Ten, Vanessa talks about the value of Tik Tok in the learning culture, especially during the pandemic and working remotely.
Vannessa also recently joined Sharon in one of her hybrid events, Empowering Corporate Culture Through Inclusion, as she contributed to a discussion about designing e-learning more like Tik Tok. It was noted and agreed upon – the Tik Tok design would not work well for all learning solutions. As participants discussed “…bite-size design can be great for raising awareness…” and “… it’s important not to look at any one type of learning experience in isolation, but rather as part of the whole…
