Introduction
This document highlights the latest Library Title Releases, Features and Improvements to the Off-the-Shelf Learning Libraries. This release isn’t our usual end of month release. This release is unique.
We’re launching the new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Collection!
Never has this been more critical to recognise and redefine training on equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging. 2020 was a year of change, COVID exposed inequities in how we live, how we learn and how we work. The world shifted, unconscious bias training was deemed useless, BAME as a a term is finally going to be a thing of the past.
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion collection is now available!
We created this collection to encompass inclusion, accessibility and authentic stories. Packed with interconnectivity and great conversation between the lessons.
We spent 4 months researching where & how we could best support our learners and then, the last 8 months in development. We’re ready!
Want a sneak peak? Check out the EDI collection on Showcase and don’t forget to watch the lesson previews. I highly recommend starting with “Does Diversity and Inclusion training work?”

What Topics are we Covering:
- Core: Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging
- Come with us as we take an honest look at the issues surrounding diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging. We’ll answer some of the questions you’ve always wanted to ask and help you understand your role in making your organisation a more inclusive place. As well as showing you how diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging impact all of us, we’ll give you practical tips on how to address them in your workplace.
- In practice: Disability Inclusion
- Disability inclusion is a wide-ranging topic, and the barriers faced by disabled people are all around us, though we don’t always see them. This short module will help raise your awareness of some of those barriers and offer practical tips to help you make your workplace a more inclusive, welcoming place for people with disabilities.
- In Practice: Unconscious Bias
- We all have biases, whether we’re aware of them or not. In this module, we’ll look at why we all have biases and how they affect the decisions we make, sometimes without our knowledge. Most importantly, we’ll offer practical tips on how to prevent your unconscious biases from negatively impacting your colleagues and organisation.
- In Practice: Trans and Non-Binary Inclusion
- As many as 1% of the UK population experience some degree of gender nonconformity, so trans and non-binary inclusion is an issue that is increasingly relevant in the modern workplace. In this short module, we provide information about how you can ensure your workplace is inclusive and supportive towards your trans and non-binary colleagues and clients, including useful tips and examples to help you put what you’re learning into practice.
- In Practice: LGBT+ Inclusion/The Rainbow Umbrella
- In this short module, we’ll answer some common questions about the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in the workplace. We’ll focus on how you can help to make your organisation a supportive environment for your LGBTQ+ colleagues. We’ll hear some people’s real-life stories and offer some tips and information about how to be a good ally and advocate for your LGBTQ+ colleagues.
- In Practice: The Uncomfortable Truth
- But is that enough? If you’re doing this training, you probably care deeply that all of your colleagues should feel happy, accepted and valued in your organization. In this module, we’ll explore whether being not racist is enough to ensure this, or whether there is more to be done.
- In Practice: The Uncomfortable Conversation
- As you go through this module, remember that everybody won’t get this right every time, including you, but as a manager or leader, you will need to step up, be active, and facilitate the conversations. You also need to prepare to hear some things you don’t want to hear and then to act upon them.
- Core: Dignity and Respect At Work
- What is the culture like in your workplace? Do you and your colleagues feel able to be yourselves and do your best work? Do jokes ever go a bit too far? In this module, we’ll look at how the way we’re treated at work can impact on us and the part we all need to play in making the workplace a safe and supportive place to be.
- In Practice: Sexual Harassment
- Sexual harassment at work has affected more than half of all women in the UK. It might not look like how you expect and it can be very challenging to deal with, but we all have a role to play in addressing it. In this module, we’ll bust some of the myths that exist around sexual harassment, look at the issue in its wider context and offer tips on how to deal with it in the workplace as a victim, observer, colleague and manager.
- In Practice: Bullying and Harassment
- 26% of people in the UK may have experienced bullying at work. In this module, we look at what is meant by bullying and harassment at work and how you should approach dealing with it as a recipient, observer, colleague and manager.
- In Practice: Active Bystander
- Sexual harassment at work has affected more than half of all women in the UK. It might not look like how you expect and it can be very challenging to deal with, but we all have a role to play in addressing it. In this module, we’ll bust some of the myths that exist around sexual harassment, look at the issue in its wider context and offer tips on how to deal with it in the workplace as a victim, observer, colleague and manager.
- Core: Mental Wellness in the workplace
- Mental health and wellbeing is something we all have and experience every day. It is as much a part of us as our physical health. We’re going to start by talking about mental health and then we’ll move on to finding out about the common signs of mental stress and the common factors affecting our mental health. Along the way, we’ll be thinking about what makes a mind-positive working environment.
- Core: Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking
- Modern slavery is an appalling crime. It is happening to men, women and children right now, often right in front of us. It has an impact across every part of society. Everyone needs to be aware of the risks that modern day slavery presents and everyone should know how to identify and report modern slavery whether they involve adults or children. Human trafficking is one of the most common forms of modern slavery and so in this module will be looked at more comprehensively than the other forms.
