Enhancements: 

Accessibility improvements have been made to several components in Adapt Builder to meet the WCAG AA standard. Specifically:

• ADAPT-10720 – The hover colour on the Fill in the Blanks dropdown options did not meet the AA colour contrast requirements. We have updated the colour to a darker blue that exceeds AA requirements.
• ADAPT-10750 – The Text Input component has been updated to maintain white background behind the answer after submission, ensuring that the correct or incorrect colouring of the answer text maintains suitable contrast.
• ADAPT-10800 – The Open Text Input component has been updated with appropriate aria text for the Show Model Answer and Hide Model Answer buttons, ensuring clear instructions for screen reader users.

These updates reflect our ongoing commitment to accessibility, making it easier for all users to access and use Adapt content.

• ADAPT-10862 – We have updated the CKEditor used for body text to include the special characters for Alpha and Beta within the Special Characters > Mathematical section. In the latest version of CKEditor, these characters were no longer included by default, but our update ensures that users can continue to access them easily.

Bug Fixes:

• ADAPT-10840 – The fill in the blanks question was not visible when it was supposed to appear during an interactive video, as the video would pause but the question would not show up. We have updated the component to ensure that the question appears on screen as expected.
• ADAPT-10661 – Font Awesome icons were not being saved correctly when added inside bullet points. We have fixed this issue to ensure that the icons can be used within bullet points and remain in place after saving.
• ADAPT-10858 – When adding an asset from within a component and applying a filter to the assessment management page, the assets were being pushed to the right-hand side of the screen in a long, single line, making it difficult to find the image you were looking for. We have updated the layout to ensure that the assets are displayed as normal in a multi-column view.
• ADAPT-10482 – When using the right-first class in combination with the media component, the media was being pushed off screen to the left. We have updated the component to ensure that it remains fully visible on screen.
• ADAPT-10827 – When using the Open Text Input PDF download extension, the printer icons were not always appearing on individual components unless you left the page and returned. We have fixed this issue to ensure that the icons appear at all times. Additionally, there was an issue with the hover text on the print icon showing as ‘undefined’. This has been updated to display ‘Print Responses’.
• ADAPT-10874 – We have corrected an issue with the hot graphic component where only the last edited item would retain the body text on the initial save. Some users reported this issue when first adding items. Our update ensures that the body text for each item is stored on the first edit of the component, resolving the issue for affected users.

We have made several updates to the Yes/No component in Adapt Builder to ensure that it functions properly and efficiently. The following bug fixes have been implemented:

• ADAPT-10849 – The feedback on a Yes/No component was broken and would not appear on the tutor extension, leaving only the inline feedback option. We have updated the component to ensure both options can be used as expected.
• ADAPT-10475 – There was an issue with the feedback icons that appear on the Yes/No component when leaving the page and returning. This has been updated to ensure that only the expected icons appear.
• ADAPT-10681 –  If a user started the timer on a Yes/No component and then navigated away from the page, the timer would continually keep counting down until it reached 0, but instead of ending the attempt, it would continue to try and count down. We have fixed this issue to ensure the counter stops at zero and any subsequent attempts can be taken correctly.
• ADAPT-10405 – Some users reported an issue when attempting to answer the Yes/No component, where upon selecting an answer, they would be navigated down the page before fully answering the question. We have updated the component to ensure that the focus remains on the question and the user can answer without issues.
