“Whistleblower Protections” focuses on the importance of speaking up if an employee knows about or suspects improper or illegal conduct. It ensures learners understand what whistleblower protections are and the types of reports that are covered. Learners are then provided with more detailed instruction on making a whistleblower report and utilizing available reporting methods and channels. The course also reinforces an organizational commitment to non-retaliation by ensuring that learners know how to recognize retaliation and what they should do if they witness or experience retaliation related to a whistleblower report. This course includes branched role-specific content. Managers will learn about responding appropriately to whistleblower reports. Employees whose tasks include investigating whistleblower complaints will see content covering best practices during a whistleblower investigation. Reporting and Non-Retaliation (Stand Alone Scholar-Poet Course)

“Reporting and Non-Retaliation” provides principles and best practices to empower employees to report actual or suspected illegal, unethical, improper, or unsafe conduct in the workplace. It also provides employees with guidance on how to recognize retaliation and what they should do if they witness or experience retaliation related to a report. Along the way, learners will meet colleagues and help them navigate situations where the colleague needs to make a report or where they may be experiencing retaliation. This course includes branched content for managers and supervisors, including such topics as creating an open-door environment and responding to employee reports.
