Downs Syndrome Awareness (Adult and Children Social Care)
This module will provide you with an awareness and understanding of Down’s syndrome. We’ll look at the strengths of people with Down’s syndrome and the challenges that they face, as well as exposing some common myths. We’ll also share some tips on how you can support someone with Down’s Syndrome to lead a full life.
What did we do?
We carried out a refresh update with new content and new graphic design. This module has been created in co-production between a social care professional and an expert by experience who has Down’s Syndrome. We have also interviewed two parents of children with Down’s Syndrome. This means we have focused on what people with Down’s Syndrome need you to know when you are working with them.
