Introduction
We’ve further enriched the Workflow designing experience on this release as Workflow items are now movable to any part of the Workflow. We’ve also created a new Workflow item serving as a stepping stone to platform-agnostic data provisioning.
HTTP Node
What it is
Campaign Managers can send JSON data to and retrieve data from any server via an HTTP request. Using the HTTP Node allows for the Get, Set, Post, Patch, and Delete requests. Head over to the Academy Documentation to find out more about these request types.
Why we have done this
Campaign Managers don’t work with just one platform. HTTP Node enables the reach of Stream Automation to extend beyond the Learning Pool Learning Suite. This feature is critical in Learning Pool’s mission to be the #1 integrated platform for workplace learning.
Below are only some of the diverse use cases the HTTP Node could offer:
- Personnel data from an organisation’s bespoke system is retrieved and fed into Stream LXP.
- Data from the Learning Pool Suite, for example, completions, can be sent back to an organisation’s bespoke system to trigger other actions and events.
- Sending data to bespoke device applications to initiate notifications. For example, nudges, new compliance training, or mentions.
- Providing data to rewards systems to be used in rewards gamification.
- Sending data to an organisation-preferred badge provider to award a badge.
- Forwarding learning experience reflections to a CPD membership system and notifying the monitoring team.
How it works:
Prerequisite:
- ‘Send HTTP Request’ Workflow item must be enabled in the Tenant Settings. Ask for this setting to be enabled by contacting the Learning Pool Support team.
How to use it:

Drag and drop design
What it is
Campaign Managers can now reorder Workflow items within the designer.
Why we have done this
This reduces complexity and cost by enabling Campaign Managers to amend the structure of their Workflow quickly and with less-constrained navigation. It enables better efficiency in creating Workflows. For example, Campaign Managers only have to drag and drop the specific workflow item they want to be moved rather than constructing the same workflow item to a new section and then deleting the old one.
How it works
This feature is best seen in action. Head over to the Academy Documentation to see how it works.
