Learning Pool Live 2023: Welcome to the world of AI

It’s October and that can only mean one thing! Last week, the Learning Pool team gathered at The Brewery in London for the 15th annual Learning Pool Live event. With more than 200 delegates joining us for the day, this customer event is fast becoming one of the most innovative and inspirational events for thought leadership in the L&D space. 

Twelve months of hard work and dedication goes into our Learning Pool Live event and at the end of each one we like to reflect on what makes each Learning Pool Live special and, therefore, worthwhile attending. 

A jam-packed agenda

Joined by the respected David Meade as our host for the day, we also welcomed serial entrepreneur, Priya Lakhani and corporate transformation expert, Gina Buckney as our keynote speakers. Following the theme of artificial intelligence, Priya guided us through her journey to AI and demystified some of the most common myths when it comes to using AI. Closing the day, Gina delved into the practical strategies that empower individuals and teams to navigate change more effectively in order to be more productive.

Throughout the day, we also delivered a handful of silent seminars covering compliance, onboarding and upskilling to offer practical advice and guidance on how to get the most out of your Learning Pool products. During these sessions, we covered:

• Using data to predict risk and change behavior
• Induction excellence for a remote workforce
• How to reduce attrition rates and time to competency
• How to balance self-guided learning and compliance
• How to accelerate your skills framework

We were also privileged to showcase a number of customer success stories where customers such as AXA, GamCare, Guide Dogs, Aberdeenshire Council and Compass Group demonstrated excellence in terms of learning strategy, sharing their own challenges and how they overcame them along the way.

Introducing AI Conversations

In early October, we launched our newest product, AI Conversations offering individuals the opportunity to practice challenging conversations with Generative AI. As part of his opening address, CEO, Ben Betts delivered a live demo of the AI tool whereby two colleagues tried different ways of encouraging a member of their team to come into the office on a more regular basis. Our audience was able to see firsthand the level of detailed, personalized feedback you can receive in order to help them improve.

Ask the expert

New to the agenda for 2023, we introduced the ‘Ask the expert’ segment to offer delegates the opportunity to speak with the experts in our Customer Success Team. Whether they had a query about how to use their Learning Pool products more effectively or looking for advice on how to optimize their current tools, this offered the perfect chance for individuals to troubleshoot their problems. 

Learning Pool Awards 2023

Recognizing achievements in the world of learning and development, we had some incredible contenders for the Learning Pool Awards 2023. Our ‘Best Learning Project – Platform’ category celebrates organizations that have effectively utilized the Learning Pool Platform to enhance their learning and development initiatives. Well done to our winners, Guide Dogs and Aberdeenshire Council! The ‘Best Learning Project – Content’ category acknowledges excellence in terms of content creation that perfectly aligns with organizational needs. Congratulations to Amazon Web Services and Beaumont Hospital!
