‘Curation as a Service’ now available with Learning Pool’s platform offering readily curated content
February 12, 2020
Leading elearning provider, Learning Pool is thrilled to share that recent development of their LXP, Stream* sees them offer a mix ‘n’ match approach to content.
This development of Learning Pool’s Stream* LXP enables organizations to mix curated content with their own content and content specially created for their needs.
Learning Pool’s Chief Product Officer, Ben Betts commented:
I’ve been advocating for organizations to adopt more ‘curation’ in their approach to knowledge, learning, and development for several years. But this is the first time we’ve been able to offer that capability as a service, integrated into our LXP platform. The key differentiator about our Curation service is the human expert in the middle – whilst automated tools have made huge leaps forward, and we would regularly use tools such as Anders Pink, we still feel there is a strong desire for an expert eye to sit between learners and content. For those organizations without the capacity or capability to do this, Learning Pool can now fill the gap.
An initial 20 topics have been pre-curated for instant rollout following an analysis of a range of soft skills competency models. Topics covered include Mindfulness & Wellbeing, Being Proactive, Commercial Awareness, Strategic Leadership, Problem Solving, and People Management.
Set to be released in the summer of 2020, Learning Pool is also showcasing its curation capabilities with a new content library focused on Future Skills. For this, we’ve undertaken a meta-analysis of the work carried out by groups such as McKinsey’s, and The World Economic Forum who have been investigating the future of work. We’ve then mixed that with our own views, and crucially, the views of our clients to create the Future Skills Framework.
Accordingly, Learning Pool has created 13 Future Skills which will be vital in the development of all organizations over the next few years. These include Talent Development, Critical Thinking, Digital Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Adaptability, and Communication. These topics are then resourced from a mixture of expertly created content, designed by our award-winning learning design team, and a range of constantly updated curated content. Using Future Skills, every organization can keep its workforce up to date with the changing skills landscape.
