Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) Take Home A Record Six Learning Technologies Awards

Oxford, UK: Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) are today celebrating after picking up multiple awards at the 2017 Learning Technologies Awards and becoming the first ever company to win 6 awards in a single night.

Over 800 people from across the globe attended a glittering Gala Night in London that saw 67 awards handed out across 24 categories to celebrate the very best in learning technologies today.

Awarding Excellence in Learning

The first two awards – Silver for Best use of Social and Collaborative Learning Technologies and Gold for Best Learning Platform Implementation – were awarded in partnership with pharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca.

The project, which saw AstraZeneca develop a suite of social learning experiences using Learning Pool’s Stream LXP (formerly Curatr) platform, had the judges ‘buzzing about the innovation and high level of engagement with the target audience’ and commenting, “particularly impressive was the way in which the impact of the solution had been evaluated and the clear difference it had made to the individuals and the organisation.”

The Most Innovative New Learning Technologies Product – UK category saw Learning Pool’s (formerly HT2 Labs) Learning Record Store (LRS), Learning Locker picking up the Gold award for what the judges described as a ‘stroke of brilliance’ and commending HT2’s ‘pursuit of the real potential of an LRS’, adding also that “Learning Locker is a truly impressive, transformational product well on its way to moving the digital learning sector forward globally… there are some very clever people at HT2.”

The final category – Learning Technologies Company of the Year – UK – saw HT2 pick up a 6th accolade of the evening, with judges awarding a Bronze award for an “impressive submission from a company doing something new on a world stage.”

Ben Betts, CEO of Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs), was delighted with the haul:

“Six awards from six entries is an incredible result for anyone, and especially so for our rapidly growing team – it’s more than we could have ever anticipated and I’m delighted for Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) staff and clients. Together we’ve worked on some great projects that have resulted in some amazing results over the past 12 months, and I’m extremely proud of what we’ve achieved.

“To have these achievements recognised as being among the best in the industry is great testament to the impact that can be achieved when not being afraid to try new things.  We think of ourselves as a place of firsts – never afraid to try something new. Hopefully other organisations will be inspired to do something for the first time with their next project too.”

Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) are exhibiting at the Learning Technologies show in early 2018, where they will be sharing more client success stories, showcasing the very latest product developments and supporting organisations with a new #LearningFirsts initiative aimed at helping organisations get innovative learning ideas off the ground.
