Silver Win for Learning Pool’s Marketing Team at the 2019 Business Brilliance Awards

Learning Pool is delighted to announce that its in-house marketing team, based across offices in Derry, Nottingham, and Oxford, were awarded Silver for ‘Innovative Team of the Year’ at the Business Brilliance Awards 2019.

The Business Brilliance Awards celebrate the success of internationally leading companies and highlight a commitment to excellence among practitioners and consultants in a range of fields. Consistently, simplicity emerged as a key theme in the 2019 winning entries; clear objectives and disciplined execution were the hallmarks of the submissions that caught the judge’s eyes.

Categories included ‘Best New Product Launch’, ‘Brilliance in Customer Service’, ‘Brilliance in Marketing’, ‘Brilliance in PR/Communications’, and of course, ‘Innovative Team of the Year’ for which Learning Pool’s team of marketers scooped Silver.

In response to the marketing team’s Silver Award win, Chief Commercial Officer, Duncan Shores commented:

I’m so pleased that the Learning Pool Marketing team has been recognized for the amazing contribution they’ve made to our business this year. From reshaping our marketing mix to launching our new website, the team has delivered step changes in each of the core marketing metrics resulting in the accelerated company growth we have seen in our regular KPI reporting. Their innovative approach, such as geolocation-based advertizing and a brand new range of content-led campaigns, is really helping us make a difference for our customers and the wider online learning industry.

The winners were announced at an awards ceremony at the Le Méridien Piccadilly, London on the evening of Thursday 5th December 2019. The event was hosted by Liam FitzPatrick, Principal, Working Communications Strategies and Internal Communications author. Adrian Moorhouse MBE, former Gold Medal-winning Olympic swimmer and current business leader of Lane4, was also in attendance as a special guest speaker.

The award-winning marketing team were also shortlisted for ‘Best In-house Team’ at the UK Search Awards 2019 and their recognition follows a succession of award wins for Learning Pool, having also won Gold for ‘Most Innovative New Product’ in partnership with TUI and Silver for ‘Learning Designer of the Year’ for Learning Pool’s Ryan O’Hara at the Learning Technologies Awards 2019. TUI’s Learnbot project with Learning Pool also achieved Silver for ‘Best Advance in Emerging Tech’ at the 2019 Brandon Hall Awards in the US.
