Global Sentiment Survey; Learning Pool’s Response
March 24, 2021
The L&D Global Sentiment Survey from Donald H Taylor, now in its 8th year, sets out to find what the hottest topics of L&D will be that year.
This year’s survey ran through December 2020 and January 2021 with the final results showing the impact of Covid-19 on sentiment in Learning and Development (L&D). Over 3,000 people, across 95 countries world-wide participated and respondents voted for three of 15 suggested options including topics such as Microlearning, Performance support, Learning Analytics and Learning Experience Platforms, plus an extra free text ‘Other’ option was included.
One of the main findings from the survey was that of the 16 potential options, Reskilling and Upskilling had jumped by 13% and as a new entrant, it has climbed to number 1 at the top of the results table. This has proved to be the most popular area in every working environment polled, and in almost every region. This is significant, as no new entry has ever done this before and clearly shows the impact that the pandemic is having on employers and employees world-wide.
Join Learning Pool’s CEO, Ben Betts and Head of Product Management, Anna Lloyd as they discuss the results from this year’s Global Sentiment Survey and how Learning Pool, as a company, views the most recent set of results.
