New Modules for Learning Pool’s Financial Services Catalogue Following Changes to Regulation
December 19, 2019
Learning Pool is delighted to announce the release of three new modules to their Financial Services catalogue, following recent changes to regulations in the Financial Sector.
Our Financial Services catalogue covers a wealth of regulatory compliance and company best practice for the financial services sector. Recently, we have added the following modules to our expanding Financial Services catalogue:
Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD)
In response to the European Union Withdrawal Act 2018 (EUWA), the MCD was updated to prepare the UK’s financial sector, in particular, mortgage firms, for the period after the UK exits the EU. The EU Mortgage Credit Directive sets out the EU’s framework of conduct rules for mortgage providers and provides the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with the necessary powers to supervise and enforce this framework.
This module has been designed to give you a better understanding of the Directive, the terms it introduces and how to comply with the changes in your role.
Banking: Conduct of Business Sourcebook (BCOBS)
The module is designed to give you a high-level overview of BCOBS. It will give you an understanding of the layout of the sourcebook and how it interacts with other parts of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) handbook.
Payment Services Directive (PSD2)
The Payment Services Directive (PSD2) is a fundamental payment legislation in Europe that came into effect on 14th September 2019. PSD2 aims to better align payment regulation with the current state of the market and technology.
This module will provide a high-level introduction to the revised Payment Services Directive and the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSR 2017). Covered in the module will be Payment Services, Authorization and Registration, Conduct of Business, Capital Resources and Safeguarding and Complaints.
Both the Mortgage Credit Directive and Banking: Conduct of Business Sourcebook modules went live towards the end of November 2019, with the Payment Services Directive due to be available in Showcase and Adapt in mid-January 2020.
