10th Annual Learning Pool Award categories

21 June 2018 Rachael Rooney

We love recognising our customers’ impressive achievements and this year marks the 10th anniversary of our annual awards, and 10 years of our customers’ success.

Winning a Learning Pool award is proof that you’re at the top of your game and it’s a fabulous recognition of your hard work and commitment. We’ve revamped the awards this year, with some new categories so you can showcase the innovative projects you’ve been working on. We’re looking for the organisation that can demonstrate that they’ve used learning technologies to make a unique and innovative contribution to the delivery of learning, one that indicates the future shape of L&D in their organisation.

Learning technologies covers all types of online content and may include adapt content, innovative use of the LMS, and other technologies such as Otto and Wildfire.

We’ll be looking for evidence that:

  • your project has made an impact in terms of individual and organisational performance
  • you have made appropriate, and innovative, use of new technology from your Learning Pool service
  • there is evidence of a successful implementation strategy, including alignment with organisational goals, engagement with key stakeholders, marketing, support and evaluation
  • there is evidence of an outcome that’s better than the traditional approach

One of our favourite awards, our Rising Star recognises someone starting out in their career, or just new to learning and development.

The winner will have brought energy and commitment to using learning technology, to drive change and improvement in their organisation. Our Learning Engagement award recognises the organisation that understands the needs of their learners and what motivates them, creating a learning culture that is embedded in the culture of the organisation.

We’ll be looking for evidence that:

  • engagement levels are impressive, relative to budget and desired outcome
  • practical focus on engaging learners long term
  • steps were taken to engage learners with the subject
  • proof that training is more than a ‘tick-box’ exercise

This award will recognise excellence across the board, in terms of content, use of technology, and organisational needs.

The winning organisation will have managed a project that has led to a lasting, measurable and positive impact in your organisation.

We’ll be looking for evidence that:

  • the project has been aligned with the company strategy
  • the project has impacted the business outside of L&D and has driven real change in your organisation
  • the project has made a positive impact in terms of individual and organisational performance

Please send your award submissions to [email protected] before Friday 3 August to be in with a chance of winning.

Remember, you can enter more than one category.

Submissions should be roughly 1,000 words and we’ll announce the nominees on 7 September.

Submissions may be accompanied by any or all of the following:

  • a short video file or files or a link to a video sharing site (maximum cumulative length of video(s) should be no more than 5 minutes),
