Celebrations for Learning Pool as the nation’s Best Companies announced

Learning Pool, the leading e-learning solutions provider, celebrates both national and regional success as the ‘Best Companies to Work For’ are announced.

The announcement comes just weeks after Learning Pool achieved a 3-star accreditation for ‘world-class’ employee engagement – the highest available ranking – from Best Companies and sets a precedent for an array of accolades and appearances on future Best Companies to Work For lists.

Working with some of the world’s best-known brands, Best Companies measures, improves and recognizes great employee engagement, compiling annual lists of the ‘Best Companies to Work For’. These lists celebrate an organization’s commitment to its employees and demonstrate that workplace engagement is seen as a vital part of a business’s success.

Revealed during an online showcase on Friday 21st May, the 2021 awards ranked Learning Pool at 57 on the Top 100 Companies to Work For Nationwide. Earning a place on a Best Companies list is an accolade like no other and something organizations the length and breadth of the nation strive for.  The company was thrilled to also feature at number nine for organizations in the Health and Social Care, Education and Training & Business Services sector.

Ben Betts, CEO at Learning Pool said:

“We’re hugely proud of the talented and tireless team at Learning Pool and this recognition is really the icing on the cake.  Last year it felt like the whole world turned to online learning; every conceivable event, learning experience and talent program was taken online, overnight. And the Learning Pool team rose to the challenge of making it all work, allowing companies to continue investing in learning, regardless of where ‘work’ was.

He continued, “Taking all challenges in their stride, our team supported each other and our customers, buoyed by the attitude and approach that sets Learning Pool people apart. It’s a rare thing to see a culture like ours, where people genuinely have each other’s back and everyone does the right thing. We’re building something very exciting here at Learning Pool and it is a privilege to watch our employees grow and reach their full potential whilst helping the business do the same.”

Learning Pool featured on five lists in the 2021 awards, including the regional lists for its offices in Derry, Nottingham and Oxfordshire.

During the live stream, the Best Companies’ regional lists were also announced, celebrating workplace engagement in the regions where an organization’s employees work and live. Placing at number four on the Top 10 Regional list for Northern Ireland, Learning Pool was delighted to be the top ‘homegrown’ company to work for, existing as the only company in the top five to be indigenous to and headquartered in Northern Ireland.

Furthering its success, the company also celebrated a spot on the regional lists for the Midlands and the South East (ranking 33 and 31 respectively) for its offices in Nottingham and Oxford.

Learning Pool’s Director of People and Performance, Louise McElvaney commented:

“We’re remarkably proud of the levels of engagement we’ve built here at Learning Pool and that’s been especially evident over the last year as we’ve dealt with the effects of the pandemic on our customers and society. Our base in Northern Ireland has been a crucial part of the company’s success so being recognized as the best indigenous employer here is great recognition. We’ll continue to employ local talent as we add another 100 people to the team in the next 12 months.”
