Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) Amongst 2018 Learning Awards Finalists

Oxford, UK: Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) – The R&D Company for Learning and Performance – have been named as finalists in 3 categories for the LPI’s 2018 Learning Awards.
Today, Monday 23rd October 2017, saw the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) announce the finalists for the 2018 Learning Awards. Open to anyone in the world, the awards are firmly established as a benchmark for excellence throughout the learning industry by recognising outstanding examples of high standards, best practice, innovation and excellence in Learning and Development.
The 15 awards categories received hundreds of entries from around the globe, and included submissions from many of the world’s leading brands. Amongst those shortlisted were all 3 submissions entered by Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) – who were also shortlisted in all 6 categories entered in this years’ Learning Technology Awards.
Digital Learning Transformation: AstraZeneca
The AstraZeneca Global Leadership project has seen the company roll out a new Social Learning programme using Learning Pool Stream LXP (formerly Curatr) platform that saw more than 157,000 contributions made via the social learning environment – by over 10,000 users – in the first 12 months alone.
The project saw the complete procurement process – from order to implementation and training complete – take less than 2 months, achieve massive (10x) cost savings, and excellent results, with 95% of participants on one of the programmes suggesting the new approach exceeded their expectations, and that AstraZeneca should pursue as a preferred means of training in the future.
Learning Professional of the Year: Craig Taylor
Introduced as a new role in December 2016, the Customer Success Manager (CSM) position that Craig holds at Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) sees him work closely with clients to understand their challenges and help them get the most out of their learning ecosystems.
As part of his role, Craig also acts as the main liaison between Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs)’ product partners, and runs a number of monthly webinars highlighting the latest product updates and best practice. Craig’s efforts have attracted a huge amount of positive feedback from clients – and this shortlisting is no doubt a testament to that response.
Rising Star: Emma Sephton
One of a number of under-30s at Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) forging their careers in learning, Emma started life as a Project Manager responsible for managing the delivery of a number of high-value projects for clients.
In the last 12 months, Emma has transitioned into a new Product Manager role, responsible for getting HT2’s latest software development – the Red Panda personal learning hub – to market.
This has been no mean-feat, working with developers and pilot clients with a relentless focus on developing an excellent, scalable product. With Red Panda hitting all of its early growth targets, this shortlisting is a timely reward from Emma’s excellent work in this new role.

Shortlisted entries are now required to present their submissions to a panel of independent judges in London later this month, with the Learning Awards Ceremony taking place as the prestigious Dorchester Hotel in London, on Thursday 1st February 2018.
