Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) & Clients Shortlisted for 6 Learning Technologies Awards

Oxford, UK:  Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) has today been shortlisted for a total of 6 categories at the 2017 Learning Technologies Awards, including the prestigious Learning Company of the Year award for the first time.

The annual awards, run by CloserStill Media (the same team as behind the Learning Technologies Shows), are judged by an independent panel of 40+ L&D professionals.  Continuing the trend of  attracting entries from more countries than in previous years, the awards received hundreds of entries across the 17  categories.  In fact, such was the  international interest in the Awards this year, that a number of categories were split out to account for the sheer volume of submissions.

Shortlisted Award Categories

Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) were submitted into 6 categories in total, and have made the shortlist in all of them.  Four of the shortlistings have come in partnership with clients, with a further 2 in categories which recognise technical contribution to the industry, and to customer success:

The Best Learning Technologies Project – International Public  & Non-Profit Sector category, (entered in partnership with LINGOs and Action Against Hunger US), recognises where a lasting, measurable and positive impact in the sector has been achieved through excellence in learning content, use of technology, and in matching design to user and organisational needs.

Best Use of Social and Collaborative Learning Technologies, entered in partnership with AstraZeneca, rewards organisations that are effectively using social and collaborative technologies to enhance learning opportunities and meet their organisational needs.

Also entered in partnership with AstraZeneca, the Best Learning Platform Implementation category seeks to recognise the impact that the implementation of smart technologies has had on organisational success, learners and return on investment.

Long-standing clients, Villeroy & Boch, have also been shortlisted for the Best Use of Blended Learning – International category for their “Brand Ambassador Programme”, which utilises Learning Pool’s Stream LXP (formerly Curatr) platform to deliver social learning elements..

Learning Pool Learning Record Store – the world’s most installed learning record store, also owned by Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs) – has been identified as having the potential to revolutionise the way learning is designed, delivered, supported, enhanced or managed in the Most Innovative New Learning Technologies Product category.

And finally, Learning Technologies Company of the Year – UK – the top vendor category, which is awarded to the business who best demonstrates exceptional results within their customers’ organisations as a direct result of the learning technologies content that they have developed, backed up by solid customer service, account and project management.

Sustained Success

Following on from success at the 2016 Learning Technologies Awards (in which 2 Stream LXP (formerly Curatr) projects picked up Silver awards), Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs), who opened its first overseas office in January of this year has been shortlisted in more categories than any other time in the company’s history.

Dr Ben Betts, CEO at Learning Pool (formerly HT2 Labs), revealed his delight at the shortlistings, saying:

“Customer Success is how we measure performance at HT2, so for so many of our clients to have been shortlisted for this year’s awards is fantastic – and we’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with so many forward-thinking organisations.

“As a business we’ve also spent a great deal of time improving our software solutions over the past 12 months, so it’s also tremendous to have made the shortlist for each of the vendor categories that we submitted entries for this year.  It provides great encouragement that what we’re trying to do as a business – create solutions that enable teams and individuals to learn from their experience – is working!”

The full 2017 shortlist is available on the Learning Technology Awards website.  Winners will be announced at the Awards Gala Night, taking place at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, London, UK, on 29th November, 2017.
