Learning Pool to increase its workforce by 25% in 2020
February 28, 2020
Learning Pool has recently announced its plans to add 50 more jobs across all sites of the company, growing its total workforce by 25% in 2020.
Speaking with the Irish Times, Learning Pool’s CEO, Paul McElvaney said:
Learning Pool’s success year on year is entirely due to the committed and driven people that work here. I’m proud that so many of our people have built brilliant careers during their time with the business, some having been with us since the very early days. We hope to bring 50 new people into Learning Pool in the next twelve months across every department. They’ll help us build on our growth, deliver the best products and provide world-class customer service for our global customer base.
Learning Pool’s expansion to date can be attributed to a series of acquisitions combined with organic growth over the years. In June 2019, the company announced its third merger in as many years with the purchase of Oxfordshire-based HT2 Labs, taking its employee count to 200. This acquisition followed the procurement of Nottingham-based Mind Click in 2016 and MediaCorp in Glasgow in 2018.
Already operating in offices in Derry, Belfast, Nottingham, and Glasgow, the acquisition of HT2 Labs also saw them obtain offices in both Oxford, UK and Boston, Massachusetts. This, as well as the recent appointment of Sharon Claffey-Kaliouby as its first VP of North America, solidifies Learning Pool’s plans to further their growth in the North American market.
Learning Pool’s planned expansion for 2020 sees them on the lookout for a range of talented people across its divisions, including Software Development, HR, Finance, Business Development, and Customer Success.
