Learning Pool, the global provider of elearning solutions, is thrilled to have partnered with The University of Health & Performance (UHP) to move specific phases of its training of students online.
UHP is a wellness-based educational institution with a mission to empower veterans and active-duty military to discover their ultimate purpose. With a four-dimensional and integrated approach to wellness and education, UHP provides students with the tools needed to identify their purpose, while building a focused plan to live it.
Founded by Army veteran and entrepreneur, Matt Hesse, UHP donates a significant portion of scholarship and research funds to the FITOPS Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships to veterans and active-duty military seeking education and careers in the health and wellness industry.
Using fitness and the leadership skills gained during their time in the service, veterans are equipped with a new mission: to help improve the lives of others. Focusing on professional and personal development, veterans who graduate from UHP become experts in fitness coaching and are awarded a fitness industry professional certification.
UHP came to Learning Pool seeking a robust platform that would enable them to provide an online service to its students so they could connect, learn, and be supported before and after camp. Students have 9-weeks of online pre-study, followed by three weeks at the campus in Arkansas where they can focus on practical training to become certified personal trainers.
UHP has implemented Learning Pool’s Stream Learning Suite to provide a seamless onboarding experience to students, easy access to all training content, resources and videos required for pre and post-camp study, as well as to create a community of support and discussion. Launching in January, UHPs ‘Purpose Blueprint’ already has 250 veterans signed up with an expected 1,000 more users within its first year.
