We started the year off with a bang as we achieved ‘Core Leader’ status in the 2019 Fosway-9 Grid. Moving from ‘Core Challenger’ to ‘Core Leader’ saw us become the only digital learning provider in the category to deliver solutions with a lower Total Cost of Ownership to all customers.
February wasn’t all about Valentine’s Day for us here at Learning Pool. Instead, we had a double award win having been named as the Totara Top EMEA Seller 2018, as well as a 2020 accreditation from the Sunday Times’ ‘Best Companies to Work For’.
Gold became our favourite color when we achieved the Gold Standard in the Deloitte Best Managed Companies 2019.
Our friends at HT2 Labs were feeling a little bit Royal in April as Learning Locker® received the ‘Award for Innovation’ in the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2019. Learning Locker® will proudly hold this honor for the next five years.
We swear it wasn’t a fix! We achieved the ‘Best Use of Learning Locker® to Support Performance’ award in HT2 Labs’ inaugural Learning Locker® Awards 2019. Our orange squirrel award still takes pride of place in our Head Office in Derry.
June was an exciting month as our acquisition of HT2 Labs became official and we welcomed 40 new members of staff in Oxford, Boston and other remote locations. We rounded the month off nicely after being named in the prestigious ‘Top Microlearning Providers’ 2019 list.
We were thrilled to retain our Cyber Essentials certificate in July this year, and our efforts to Corporate Social Responsibility were recognized with a Gold win for ‘Community Commitment’ and Silver for ‘Volunteering’ in the International CSR Awards 2019. We’re delighted to share that Learning Pool donated over £9000 throughout 2019 to various charities including our core charities Aware NI, Rainbows Hospice and My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.
Some oldies but goldies for Learning Pool as we received our second Gold Award win from Investors in People and secured certification for the new G-Cloud Government framework, having been a part of it since its inception in 2012.
Learning Pool’s commitment to advancing gender diversity was recognized with the ‘Mark of Progress’ awarded by Diversity Mark, Northern Ireland.
As if October wasn’t a busy enough month with our sold-out Learning Pool Live event, we were also astounded by a wave of industry recognition. We ranked 37 in Deloitte Ireland’s Fast 50, a list of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the country; we were named in the ‘Top Performing eLearning Gamification Companies’ list 2019; as well as a ‘Top E-learning Content Provider’ and Learning Pool’s Paul McElvaney was named as ‘One of the Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders to Watch in 2019’. Well done Paul!
We started the month off with a successful ISO 27001 audit, seeing us retaining our certificate from the previous years. Learning Pool’s Marketing Team were shortlisted in the UK Search Awards 2019 for ‘Best In-house Team’ but the real magic happened at the 2019 Learning Technologies Awards where we left with a Gold Win for ‘Most Innovative New Learning Technologies Product’ with TUI’s Learnbot as well as a Silver Award Win for Learning Pool’s Ryan O’Hara in the ‘Learning Designer of the Year’ Category. Well done Ryan!
We ended the year with more recognition for the Marketing Team as they were awarded Silver in the ‘Innovative Team of the Year’ category at the Business Brilliance Awards 2019. Heading across the pond, we scooped Silver in the Brandon Hall Awards 2019 for ‘Best Advance in Emerging Tech’, once again in partnership with TUI’s Learnbot.
