On 12th December 2025, the Learning Pool team came together once again for Poolooza CSR Day, our annual company‑wide initiative dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.
This year, our people truly brought our value of Doing the Right Thing to life. Across the globe, team members volunteered their time, skills and energy in support of causes they care deeply about, from environmental conservation and community support to education and animal welfare.
Making a difference together
A collective global impact
Poolooza CSR Day 2025 delivered remarkable engagement and outcomes:
- 164 employees took part
- 2000 hours donated in one day
Across offices and remote communities alike, this global effort demonstrated the power of collective action to create meaningful change.

Causes close to our hearts
From hands-on support to skills-based volunteering, our teams made an impact across a wide range of areas:
🌱 Environmental conservation — beach cleans, tree planting, park restoration
🐾 Animal welfare — shelter support, dog walking, donation drives
📚 Education & youth development — mentoring, school activities, skills workshops
💛 Community care — foodbanks, elderly support, homelessness outreach
🌍 Remote skill-sharing — digital training, charity strategy support, fundraising campaigns
Whether supporting people, animals, or the planet, the common thread was compassion and a desire to make a tangible difference.
Stories that inspire
Here are just a few of the remarkable projects our teams took part in:
✨ The California contingent had an amazing day setting up for the Boys & Girls Club’s Winter Wonderland event! 700 kids, ages 5-17, will take part in the festivities and leave with a new toy of choice. The team made lighted tunnels, balloon arches, and sorted hundreds of donated toys. Thinking about the joy it will bring is so fulfilling.
✨ We had a great time volunteering at one of the community gardens in Stanmer Park today. Lots of weeding and prepping the garden beds for next year.
✨ The Garden Classroom in Islington to build some stag beetle habitats (and to do a lot of weeding)! It was a really fun day, plus we learned that London is a key habitat for the UK's stag beetle population.
✨ We moved 15,660 meals through Cold Sorting at the North Texas Food Bank!
✨ Had a brilliant day with the wonderful Nowell and Jude at Wrexham Food Bank sorting, dating and moving stock in the warehouse, ready for it to go out to people this week. The thing that's alarming is the huge amount of food there, that will all be gone within about 3 weeks, the need is that great.
✨Helping out at Tyrone Husky Rescue today and there are some amazing dogs here. Really struggling not to take them all home.
✨For CSR day I designed a few wee graphics for Animals in Need to share on their social media pages.
These stories show that when we give our time, energy, and expertise, the impact is felt far beyond the immediate task and the experience enriches both the community and our people.

While Poolooza CSR Day may be over for another year, our commitment to community impact continues. Every Learning Pool employee has two paid volunteering days annually, and we look forward to the continued contributions and positive change they will bring in 2026 and beyond.
