Learning Pool, the Derry-based e-learning solutions provider, is thrilled to have achieved a double-award win in the Excellence in Technology program at the Brandon Hall Excellence Awards 2020.
The Brandon Hall Excellence Awards recognize the best organizations that have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable success. The program attracts entrants from leading corporations around the world.
Addressing the need for organizations to rapidly prepare for the future of work and the ‘new normal’ amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Excellence in Technology awards program introduced several new categories, as well as a new program area: The Future of Work.
It was in these new categories that Learning Pool was delighted with a double-award win. For Best Advance in Technology Innovation for the Remote Workforce, Learning Pool scooped Gold in partnership with its client, Sonova Group. Together, Learning Pool and Sonova Group created the groundbreaking, blended distance learning program, Swiss International Hearing Academy (SIHA). A high-tech, innovative and interactive training solution using third-party software and housed in Learning Pool’s Learning Management System (LMS), SIHA provides the highest standards of education for hearing care professionals in over 100 countries.
Learning Pool also secured a Bronze Award in the Best Advance in Technology for Re-adapting to the Workplace and Workplace Culture category in collaboration with British broadcaster and telecommunications company, Sky. Learning Pool helped Sky with the radical adaptation of existing health and safety training – which included the transformation, creation and delivery of four training modules – to ensure a safe, smooth and efficient return to work for all Sky employees following the ease of lockdown restrictions in the UK during the pandemic.
Entries to the Excellence Awards were evaluated by an international panel of independent industry experts, Brandon Hall Group senior analysts and Brandon Hall’s executive leadership team. Judging was based on the following criteria: fit the need; design of the program; functionality; innovation and overall measurable benefits.
