Platinum Award for Learning Pool by Investors in People

Learning Pool has been recognised by receiving the Platinum Award by Investors in People (IIP), signifying its commitment, investment and belief in its people.

IIP is a globally recognized mark for people management and transformational leadership. Platinum Accreditation confirms Learning Pool as among the top-ranking organizations for its unique culture and continuous improvement initiatives. Platinum is the highest level of accreditation possible in the standard and is something only 2% of organizations achieve.

This award confirms that policies and practices aimed at supporting people are embedded in every corner of Learning Pool. And in a platinum company, everyone – from the CEO to a customer services apprentice – knows they have a part to play in the company doing well, and is always looking for ways to improve.

Learning Pool’s Chief of People, Louise McElvaney, attributes the company’s IIP award to its high performing team and commitment to customers: “The last two years have proven beyond all doubt that our people are the driving force behind our business and a key reason for our sustained growth and success. Platinum is a wonderful endorsement of the work of our team in what’s been an incredible period for Learning Pool. We’re delighted that the investments we’ve made in the development of our people have created high levels of job satisfaction and that Learning Pool continues to be a great place to work. As we continue to grow we’re confident that by putting our people at the center of everything we do and developing extraordinary career progression for them, we can maintain excellent levels of customer service and reliably improve the services we offer.”

IIP accreditation offers measurable feedback on employee performance and the chance to benchmark against other organizations in the UK and internationally. The assessment framework encapsulates the latest workplace trends, essential skills, and effective structures, focusing on three key areas: leading, supporting and improving.

To achieve Platinum accreditation, the company underwent a rigorous, independent review of its organization and people to ensure it met key performance indicators. These indicators are derived from the analysis of organizations that consistently outperform industry norms.

In the latest audit Learning Pool has been particularly commended for developing strong leaders, equipping managers to provide the best support to their teams and unlocking potential right across the business.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Learning Pool. Platinum accreditation on ‘we invest in people’ is a remarkable effort for any organization, and places Learning Pool in fine company with a host of organizations that understand the value of people.”

Ben Betts, Learning Pool CEO, further commented: “Learning Pool believes that extraordinary things are possible when you invest in your people. As one of the UK’s fastest-growing private companies, and now an IIP Platinum accredited organization, we’re a testament to the possibility of creating extraordinary outcomes through people.”

This Platinum accreditation for Learning Pool comes just a week after we achieved Gold for ‘Front-line Customer Service Team of the Year’ at the 2022 Stevie® Awards for Sales and Customer Service.
