Menopause: Starting the Conversation – Coming in 2022
We are currently working on this new lesson, which will be part of our new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Collection coming in January.
Written with our Self Care SMEs, B&CO Care.
Lived Experiences are very important to us at Learning Pool. We want to ensure that when we’re empowering learners to be themselves, that we are setting the right examples first. In this lesson, you’ll hear from the real women of Learning Pool and their journeys through & approaching menopause. No voiceover artists, no actors – authentic voices, real women and empowering stories to share.
Stay tuned to our release notes each month for more information.

New additions to our Libraries
Court Skills for Adult Social Workers (Adult Social Care)
Since 2019, Adult Social Care workers have been attending court more and more. This lesson is designed to support those who need to attend court. As this is such a new part of the job, you will hear the real thoughts and experiences of some adult social care professionals who have attended court cases and why they believe the number of cases is increasing. They will give you advice and tips on what to expect and how to prepare for attending court.
Approximately 45 minutes in length and full of lived experience. Find further details on Showcase: Court Skills for Adult Social Workers – Showcase (learningpool.com)
Care Certificate – Standard 16: Oral Health (Care Certificate)
Continuing our commitment of Care Certificate, we’ve created the Standard 16: Oral Health. People with learning disabilities, cognitive impairment and other disabilities may have similar experiences of severe pain, concerns about their appearance and anxieties about dental treatment.
Throughout this module you will hear lived experience extracts from a discussion between “Miss A”, who lives with learning disabilities, and a registered social worker.
