Learning Pool’s CEO, Paul McElvaney, announced as one of the Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders to Watch
October 7, 2019
Following over 600 submissions to the LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme, Learning Pool is delighted to announce that CEO, Paul McElvaney has been selected as one to watch!
Run by the leading mid-market private equity investor, LDC and supported by The Telegraph, the 2019 search for Britain’s most inspiring entrepreneurs saw business owners from across the UK be nominated for the Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme.
LDC, a private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, backs the management teams of growing mid-market businesses with the capital and support to help them build bigger and better businesses. With more than 50 investment professionals based in 12 locations across the UK, LDC invests in businesses operating across most sectors of the UK economy.
The LDC’s Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders programme has been devised to uncover and celebrate the people behind some of the UK’s most successful medium-sized firms. Entrepreneurs who are included on the list are people who have demonstrated exporting prowess, introduced new ideas to shake up sectors, driven unprecedented levels of growth and shown real resilience to get to where they are today.
Those listed follow in the footsteps of Julian Hearn, founder of the powdered food brand, Huel, who was named last year’s Most Ambitious Business Leader at a celebratory event in London.
On Tuesday 8th October, an exclusive celebratory event will be hosted in London by the LDC to honour the Top 50 and Ones to Watch. This will be followed by the announcement of Most Ambitious Business Leader for 2019 by an expert panel of judges. According to LDC, this will be the person who best defines the leadership qualities needed in business today.
